From 1997 to 2010, I wrote, co-wrote or contributed to 16 books, one comic book and numerous magazine and web articles on the Knights Templar, other crusading orders, and all aspects of Freemasonry.
For the past decade, my writing has been almost exclusively newspaper articles for my community news publication Morinville News.
However, in recent years, I’ve put a lot of time into building a home bar. That basement pub, The Soaring Pig, has spawned a YouTube channel and a website about whiskey, cocktails and alcohol trivia.
Last summer, I decided to write something a little different: A collection of my useless whiskey trivia and stories about classic and original cocktails.
The book, jokingly called Getting Shitfaced & Living To Write About It: A Cocktail Hobbyist’s Guide To Classic And Original Cocktails, was printed in a small run as a gag gift for friends.
Based on the response of those who received and read it, I decided to make it available to others.
The book is available from LuLu.com as a print on demand paperback or an eBook download, and will soon be available through Amazon, Kobo, Barnes & Noble and Apple Books.
